My client, an innovative, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is currently searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join their expert team of design engineers, based near the large, industrial, thriving city of Sheffield.
Essential Criteria:
* A Degree in Geography, Civil Engineering, or other relevant discipline
* Extensive commercial experience in a flood risk and/or drainage-based role
* Familiarity with planning and environmental regulations, as well as appropriate Section Agreements and their respective applications within the industry
* Experience of using GIS software (e.g., QGIS), and other relevant software packages
* Hold Chartered Status, or actively working to attain this
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to possess the following skills:
* An additional, postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Experience of stakeholder management
In the varied role of Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant, you will join a dedicated team of consulting specialists in the field, with a view to developing your career and progressing within the company. The role will involve a number of exciting responsibilities, including:
* Producing Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies, and planning applications
* Overseeing the design of Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS), producing technical drawings and plans
* Preparing flood risk and mitigation reports for a diverse range of clients across the public and private sectors
* Establishing and maintaining working relations with clients and other internal and external stakeholders
* Providing support to wider service areas, contributing to the company's overall vision
