Im working with a top 20 accounting firm, who are looking to grow out their forensic offering in the Midlands region. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant ideally from an audit background or an early-career forensic professional to join a growing practice with ambitious plans and a strong, collaborative culture.

The position offers exposure to a wide range of forensic accounting assignments, including disputes, investigations, and expert witness work, alongside clear opportunities for career development and involvement in business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the day-to-day delivery of expert witness and advisory assignments, including disputes and investigations.

Performing detailed financial analysis, including financial modelling and use of industry tools to support expert opinions.

Assisting senior team members on forensic engagements through robust analysis of large and complex datasets.

Contributing to the drafting of high-quality client deliverables, including expert witness reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with professional standards.

Responding to ad-hoc client queries where required.

Taking an active interest in the team+rsquo;s longer-term strategy and supporting delivery of the team+rsquo;s business plan.

Assisting with marketing and business development activities to support the growth of both the individual and the wider Forensics team.

Technical + Professional Requirements

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).

Ideally one or more years+rsquo; experience in forensic accountancy, particularly disputes; strong audit backgrounds will also be considered.

Experience supporting financial expert witness and advisory engagements, often involving high volumes of information is desirable

Ability to draft sections of client deliverables in a clear, concise, and well-structured manner.

Proactive in developing sector knowledge, including emerging trends and risks.

Proven track record of delivering high-quality client service.

Demonstrated commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
