As Geotechnical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

* Working on the geotechnical team and managing project workloads

* Identifying geotechnical risks and proposing effective mitigation strategies

* Delivering concept and detailed design work including foundation design, slope stability and retaining walls.

* Producing high-quality technical reports including Ground Investigation and Geotechnical Design Reports

* Mentoring junior staff

* Supporting colleagues across other offices as part of a wider geotechnical team

To succeed in this Geotechnical Design Engineer role, you should have:

* Design experience within civil or geotechnical engineering consultancy

* Have or be working towards chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (or equivalent)

* Familiarity with geotechnical design software, AutoCAD, and MS Office

* Experience in rail projects (preferred but not essential)

* Relevant experience in areas such as slope stability, foundation design, earthworks, soil nails, retaining structures, and pile design

* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering

* Clean UK driving licence

* Live in or near to London
