The Role
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, taking responsibility for technical assessments and geotechnical design work. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Geotechnical interpretation of ground investigation data
* Foundation design and recommendations
* Slope stability and earthworks assessments
* Retaining wall design and analysis
* Geotechnical reporting and technical documentation
* Preparation of design calculations and specifications
* Liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams
* Supporting junior engineers and contributing to project delivery
Requirements
* Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
* Experience within a geotechnical consultancy or engineering environment
* Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles
* Experience using geotechnical software packages
* Excellent report writing and communication skills
* Full UK driving licence
