Graduate Architectural Technician
Location: Shrewsbury
Salary:£25-29,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and highly respected property and planning consultancy in Shrewsbury. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will support a range of architectural and planning projects, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle from initial concepts through to planning submissions and technical design. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or aspiring Architectural Technician to develop their skills within a supportive and collaborative environment that offers genuine long-term career progression.
The Role
* Assist with the preparation of concept drawings, planning applications, and Building Regulations submissions.
* Produce detailed architectural drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
* Prepare reports, specifications, and other design documentation.
* Research building materials, products, sustainability practices, and relevant legislation.
* Support the wider Planning team on a range of residential and commercial projects.
About You
* A degree in Architectural Technology, or an HND/HNC.
* Strong design, technical drawing, and problem-solving skills.
* A good understanding of Building Regulations, planning processes, and construction methods.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
