My client, a forward-thinking, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Graduate Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their growing team of specialist design engineers, near the beautiful, Northern city of York.

Essential Criteria:

* A Bachelor's (or Master's) Degree in Civil Engineering

* Knowledge of flood risk and drainage strategies, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)

* Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.)

* Knowledge of InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and other software packages

* The ability to work as part of a team, as well as on your own initiative

* A willingness to learn and consistently develop skills whilst gaining first-hand experience

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Graduate Civil Engineer to have the following:

* Some professional experience, namely in flood risk and drainage

* Working knowledge of a range of additional relevant software packages

* A demonstrable commitment to improving your knowledge and skills in the field

* Excellent time management and communication skills

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be joining a team of expert design engineers, working on a number of varied, high-profile projects across the region. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:

* Working on a range of flood risk and drainage strategy projects

* Contributing to the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard, within given timeframes

* Using the relevant software packages to undertake technical analysis

* Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including calculations, drawings, and models

* Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors

* Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections

* Developing and maintaining client relations

* Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
