Location: Maidstone, Kent

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established planning and environmental consultancy in their search for a Graduate EIA Consultant to join their Maidstone office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate to begin their career within a respected consultancy environment, working on a wide variety of development projects across the UK. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience supporting Environmental Impact Assessments and environmental planning work across residential, mixed-use, commercial, and strategic land developments.

The Role

As a Graduate EIA Consultant, you will support the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments and environmental planning services across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will work closely with experienced planners and environmental professionals, gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments

Supporting the production of Environmental Statements and environmental reports

Undertaking environmental and planning policy research

Assisting with site appraisals and environmental constraint analysis

Supporting planning application documentation and environmental submissions

Coordinating with specialist consultants including ecology, heritage, and landscape teams

Maintaining organised project files and assisting with report preparation

Candidate Requirements

Degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Geography, Town Planning, or a related discipline

Strong interest in Environmental Impact Assessment and environmental planning

Excellent analytical and research skills

Strong written communication and report writing ability

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Ability to work effectively within a collaborative consultancy environment
