Graduate Engineering Geologist - Birmingham
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
A well-established ground engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join its team based in the Birmingham area. This role is ideal for a recent graduate seeking practical experience within the ground investigation and geotechnical sector while working on a range of development projects.
The successful candidate will assist with site investigations and support senior staff in delivering geotechnical and engineering geology services for construction and land development schemes. The position will involve a mix of site-based and office-based work, offering valuable early career experience.
Key responsibilities may include:

Assisting with desk studies and preliminary site research
*
Supporting ground investigations, including soil and rock logging
*
Collecting soil and groundwater samples on site
*
Monitoring groundwater and ground gas where required
*
Recording and interpreting field data from boreholes and trial pits
*
Assisting with the preparation of technical reports
Requirements:
*
A degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Earth Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
*
A full UK driving licence
*
Full right to work in the UK
*
Willingness to travel to sites when required
*
Based in or within commuting distance of Birmingham
