Graduate Geoenvironmental Consultant
Location: Manchester
Salary: £27,000 - £29,000
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Geoenvironmental Consultant to join a growing consultancy based in Manchester. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop their career within the geoenvironmental sector, working on a variety of contaminated land, ground investigation and environmental consultancy projects.
The successful candidate will join a supportive team and gain practical experience across all stages of geoenvironmental projects, including site investigations, contaminated land assessments, environmental due diligence and technical reporting.
This position would suit a motivated graduate with a background in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Geoscience or a related discipline who is looking to build a long-term career within geoenvironmental consultancy.
The Role:
* Supporting contaminated land assessments and environmental due diligence projects
* Assisting with Phase 1 desk studies and site investigations
* Undertaking site visits, ground investigations and soil logging
* Collecting and interpreting environmental and geological data
* Preparing technical reports and project documentation
* Supporting remediation and risk assessment projects
* Working closely with senior consultants and project teams
The Ideal Candidate:
* Degree qualified in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Geoscience or a related subject
* MSc in a relevant discipline is preferred
* An interest in contaminated land and geoenvironmental consultancy
* Strong attention to detail with good written and verbal communication skills
* Keen to develop technical skills and gain hands-on site experience
* Full UK driving licence is desirable
