Are you a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer looking to start your career with a consultancy that offers real site exposure, structured training, and clear progression?
A well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their Newcastle team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience across both site and office-based work, supporting a wide range of infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects.
You'll work closely with experienced engineers and senior staff, developing your technical skills while building a strong understanding of ground investigation, earthworks, and geotechnical design.
The role will involve:
* Assisting with ground investigations and site supervision
* Logging soil and rock samples in accordance with current standards
* Supporting geotechnical testing, monitoring, and data collection
* Helping prepare factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
* Working with senior engineers on foundation, slope, and earthworks assessments
* Ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with company procedures
Essential Criteria:
* A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline
* Live within a commutable distance from the Newcastle office
* Full UK driving licence or working towards one
