Are you a recent Geology or Earth Sciences graduate looking to kick-start your career in geotechnical engineering?

A specialist geotechnical and geoenvironmental consultancy is looking for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join its growing team in Warrington. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of projects across the quarrying, waste management and land development sectors.

You will receive excellent mentoring and training, gaining practical experience in both site investigations and technical reporting while developing your knowledge of ground engineering.

The Graduate Geotechnical Engineer role will include:

* Assisting with Phase 2 ground investigations

* Logging soil and rock to current industry standards

* Supervising drilling rigs and ground investigation contractors

* Collecting soil, rock and groundwater samples

* Preparing factual ground investigation reports

* Assisting with geotechnical interpretative reports and earthworks assessments

* Working on projects within the quarrying, waste management and land development sectors

* Carrying out regular site work across the UK with office-based reporting

Requirements:

* BSc or MSc in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Earth Sciences or a related discipline

* A strong interest in geotechnical engineering

* Previous industry experience through a placement or internship is desirable but not essential

* Good written and verbal communication skills

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Full right to work in the UK
