Graduate Town Planner

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £27,000/£30,000

Are you a recent Planning graduate looking to kick-start your career within an established planning team?

I'm currently recruiting for a Graduate Town Planner opportunity in Lincoln, offering the chance to work alongside experienced planners on a broad range of projects, while developing your professional and personal skills through a dedicated graduate training programme.

Responsibilities

* Assist with and prepare planning statements

* Assist with the preparation of planning appraisals

* Support the team on larger planning projects

* Prepare planning applications and appeals

* Assist clients throughout the planning process

* Appraise new development opportunities

* Undertake planning research and analysis

* Assist with the preparation of Design and Access Statements where required

* Manage a range of planning applications and monitor outcomes

* Undertake community engagement

* Attend planning committee meetings and public examinations

* Attend site visits and client meetings

* Assist with the preparation of fee proposals for projects

Requirements

* Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline, ideally RTPI accredited

* Demonstrated interest in planning

* Previous planning experience is desirable but not essential

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

* Strong motivation and ambition to develop a career in planning

* Transferable skills are welcomed, with consideration given to candidates who may not meet every listed requirement
