Graduate Town Planner responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
* Supporting planning assessments, research and development appraisals.
* Undertaking policy research and reviewing local and national planning policy.
* Assisting with planning statements, reports and supporting documentation.
* Liaising with clients, local planning authorities and other consultants.
* Supporting senior planners with a range of strategic and development planning projects.
* Attending meetings, site visits and planning consultations where appropriate.
* Keeping up to date with changes to planning legislation, policy and guidance.
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across planning, development, architecture and other professional disciplines.
Requirements for the Graduate Town Planner role will include:
* A RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
* A genuine interest in planning and the built environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good research, analytical and organisational abilities.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning.
* A full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to the potential for site visits.
