Head of Finance, Central London, UK Travel, £100,000 to £130,000 Are you an ambitious Financial Controller or Head of Finance from a Financial Services background, ready to take the next significant step in your career? I am working exclusively with a growing, private equity backed Financial Services SME to recruit a Head of Finance. This role will operate as the clear number two to the CFO, with a defined and credible succession plan to step into the CFO position within the medium term, approximately three to five years. The role is based from the company’s new Central London office two days per week, with regular travel to their secondary Midlands office, which is easily accessible by train. The business is scaling rapidly following its recent transition from family ownership to private equity backing. Significant investment is being made into systems, structure and long term strategy, creating an outstanding opportunity for a senior finance leader to shape the future of the function and the wider business. In this role, you will: Drive complex budgeting and forecasting, utilising advanced financial modelling skillsLead the finance team to deliver accurate and timely management and statutory accounts, while developing people and processesManage cash flow, treasury and liquidity across the groupOversee group audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditorsSupport systems development and process improvement, with a strong focus on continuous improvementManage VAT and tax submissions in conjunction with external advisorsMentor, develop and strengthen the finance teamProvide high quality financial insight and constructive challenge to the CFO and wider boardYou will be: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, essentialExperienced in a financial services environmentHighly experienced in financial modelling and complex forecastingTechnically strong, with experience in group reportingConfident managing cash flow and audit processesExperienced in leading teams and building scalable finance functionsAdaptable, proactive and comfortable taking ownershipExperienced within a private equity backed or high growth environment, preferredIf you are seeking a senior finance role with genuine progression, influence and a seat at the top table, this is a standout opportunity to fast track your career within a dynamic and ambitious business.
