Impact Recruitment are currently looking for a Health and Safety Co-ordinator to join one of our well-established manufacturing clients in Northampton on a Permanent basis. Our client is a respected and long-standing business within the precision engineering and fabrication industry, supplying high-quality components to sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and electronics.

Pay: £30,000 - £35,000

Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 15:00 (37.5 hours per week)

Location: Northampton

Contract: Permanent

As a Health and Safety Co-ordinator, you will report to the Quality Manager and take responsibility for supporting and coordinating all health and safety activities across the business. This is a varied and hands-on role suited to someone with a proactive approach and a solid understanding of UK H&S legislation.

Duties will include:

* Carrying out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

* Coordinating training, inductions, and toolbox talks for employees and contractors

* Maintaining accurate safety documentation including COSHH, HAVS, DSE, and fire safety records

* Managing accident and near-miss investigations

* Organising and chairing regular health and safety meetings

* Ensuring statutory compliance and maintaining clear safety communications

* Liaising with external bodies such as the HSE, insurers, and local authorities when required

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification)

* Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or warehouse-based environment

* Strong knowledge of H&S regulations including RIDDOR, COSHH, and Health & Safety at Work Act

* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to risk management

* Organised with strong documentation and record-keeping abilities

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

* IOSH membership, First Aid, or Fire Warden training (advantageous but not essential)
