Role Overview
Fame24HourCare is seeking a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Support Worker to join our team in Ipswich. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and practical daily living support in service users' own homes.
* Assist with household tasks, meal preparation, shopping, and daily routines.
* Support service users with hobbies, interests, and meaningful activities.
* Promote independence, wellbeing, and community inclusion.
* Follow personalised care plans and report any changes in needs.
* Safely dispose of waste and hazardous materials.
* Communicate effectively and adapt to individual needs.
* Contribute to personalised support plans.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of all service users.
* 9Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
Skills & Experience
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to interpret basic medical information.
* Calm, professional, and reliable approach.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
* Strong teamwork skills.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
* Experience in a care or healthcare setting is beneficial.
* Full UK driving licence preferred due to community-based home care.
