Mobile HGV Technician – Gritters, Minibuses & Vans
Boston | Lincoln | Louth Area
Monday to Friday - 8:00am – 4:00pm – 39 hours per week
£17.65 -£19.27 per hour
50% Mobile 50% Depot -Van and Fuel Card Included
On Call Rota
Call-Out Package
Summer Cover (May – September)
• 1 week in 5 on-call rota
• Cover until 7:00pm -Monday-Friday
• Saturday cover between 8:00am and 6:00pm
• £250 standby payment
• Time and a half paid if called out
Winter Cover (October – April)
• 1 week in 3 on-call rota
• 24/7 call-out cover
• £250 standby payment
• Time and a half paid if called out
Are you an HGV Technician looking for a varied role with a great work-life balance and the opportunity to work on a unique and diverse fleet? We're looking for a skilled technician to join a well-established operation responsible for maintaining a fleet of 46 gritters and 80 minibuses, along with a range of light commercial vehicles across five sites throughout Lincolnshire.
The Role of the HGV Technician
• Maintain, service and repair a mixed fleet of gritters, minibuses and vans
• Carry out diagnostics, inspections and fault finding
• Split your time between mobile and depot-based work (50/50)
• Ensure vehicles remain compliant, roadworthy and operational throughout the year
• Support winter maintenance operations during the gritting season
What We\'re Looking For in the ideal HGV Technician
• Previous HGV, PSV, Bus, Coach or Commercial Vehicle Technician experience
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• D1 or Class C licence desirable not essential - Licence training can be provided for the right candidate
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ideal base locations include Boston, Lincoln or Louth, with travel required between five operational sites.
