Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to become part of a welcoming primary school in Southend-on-Sea.

This permanent role offers the chance to work across Reception through to Year 6, supporting pupils at different stages of their primary education. From leading whole-class learning during teacher absence to delivering focused intervention sessions, you'll play an important part in helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Deliver high-quality lessons using pre-prepared planning across Reception to Year 6

* Lead one-to-one and small group interventions to support pupil achievement

* Work alongside teachers to provide engaging and effective classroom support

* Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities

* Encourage positive behaviour and build pupils' confidence in their learning

* Monitor progress and provide valuable feedback to teaching staff

* Support the wider school community and contribute to a positive learning culture

The Ideal Candidate

* Holds HLTA status or has substantial experience working in a similar role

* Has previous experience covering classes within a primary school

* Is confident leading intervention programmes that support pupil progress

* Demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills

* Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families

* Is flexible, proactive and enjoys working across different year groups

* Is passionate about helping every child achieve their best
