Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons when covering teacher absence.
* Support pupils with SEMH needs through targeted interventions and personalised strategies.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote emotional resilience.
* Use effective behaviour-management and de-escalation strategies.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams.
* Track and monitor progress, contributing to personalised plans and EHCP outcomes.
* Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing, and a positive school ethos at all times.
* Help maintain a calm, structured, and therapeutic learning environment.
Requirements
* Essential: Proven SEMH experience in an educational, therapeutic, or specialist setting.
* Essential: Confident and capable of covering whole classes independently.
* HLTA qualification preferred or equivalent experience at that level.
* Excellent communication, resilience, and behaviour-support skills.
* Commitment to supporting vulnerable learners and helping them flourish.
* Ability to work full-time in a Primary SEMH School in Northampton.
