Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Independent Prep School - Richmond upon Thames

Start Date: April 2026

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Your responsibilities will include:

* Leading targeted small group interventions to strengthen understanding and build confidence

* Delivering focused Maths and English support sessions to boost pupil attainment

* Working across Year 4 to Year 7, supporting pupils through key stages of their learning

* Working collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver effective learning support

* Supporting assessment activities and contributing to tracking pupil progress

The school is looking for an HLTA who:

* Has strong experience working in a primary school as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

* Is confident delivering academic interventions, particularly in Maths and English

* Has experience supporting pupils across KS2 and into lower KS3 (Year 4-Year 7)

* Is proactive, organised, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

* Holds HLTA status or has equivalent relevant experience
