* Salary: £160.00 to £250.00 (In line with your current pay scale)
Secondary History Teacher - Canterbury
Academics are currently working with a "Good" secondary school in Canterbury who are seeking a committed and vibrant History Teacher. This role is to start in September 2025.
Located closely to local transport links, you will be based in a building with fantastic facilities within a friendly and supportive department. The team is committed to providing staff with high quality support and professional development.
What skills and experience we're looking for
Candidates must be able to teach across the ability and age range, supporting the development of History to the highest standards for all pupils at Key Stages 3 and 4.
The ideal candidate will:
* Be passionate about History;
* Be a qualified teacher (QTS - PGCE, B.Ed, GTP);
* Bring an unwavering commitment to promoting the highest standards of teaching and learning across the department and the academy;
* Have a relentless obsession about developing their own standards of teaching and learning to enable them to deliver excellent student outcomes;
* Be a committed team player;
* Have the ability to engage and inspire pupils and build excellent relationships;
