Academics have a fantastic long term History teacher position starting from February 2026. The History teacher position will be based at one of our well regarded secondary schools in Pontefract. The school prides themselves on providing support to students of all abilities, including students with autism and communication needs, as well as being determined to make sure the students reach their full potential.
About the role:
The School are looking for a passionate and willing History teacher to make an impact on the curriculum as well as bring out the best from the students.
You will be responsible for the following:
* Teaching students across KS3 and KS4.
* Engaging with other members of the team by sharing ideas and suggesting ways the curriculum could be adjusted or improved.
* Deliver captivating lessons that will engage the students.
* Display strong behaviour management and have the ability to control the classroom.
