HLTA - SEN College - South Birmingham

Daily Rate: £110 - £120(dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced SEN educator looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive college setting?

Academics, a specialist education recruitment agency, is currently working with a well-established and inclusive SEN college in South Birmingham. We are seeking a dedicated and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2025.

This role is ideal for a committed individual with a background in SEN who is looking to contribute to the learning and development of young people aged 16-25 with a range of complex needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and SEMH.

This is an excellent opportunity to:

Take a leading role in delivering small group and 1:1 interventions

Support post-16 learners in developing life skills and achieving independence

*

Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and support teams

*

Develop further as an SEN specialist within a forward-thinking college

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with young people with special educational needs

*

Hold HLTA status or an equivalent relevant qualification

*

Be confident in leading sessions and providing structured learning support

*

Be patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education

*

Be available full-time from September 2025

*

Be based in or able to travel to South Birmingham
