The Role

This is a senior support position, ideal for a HLTA with substantial experience working with pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in supporting students, staff, and the wider school in raising attainment and ensuring inclusive access to learning.

* Acting as a core member of the Individual Needs team, delivering high-quality support for pupils with SEND across the school

* Building strong, professional relationships with pupils and staff, modelling best practice and maintaining high expectations

* Providing targeted interventions (1:1 and small group) to support progress in areas such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and social/emotional development

* Supporting the identification of barriers to learning, contributing to assessments, and assisting in the diagnostic process

* Leading on the development, implementation, and review of Individual Needs Plans, ensuring they are tailored and impactful

* Contributing to statutory SEND processes, including EHCP applications, annual reviews, and exam access arrangements

Candidate Profile

Essential:

* Significant experience supporting children and young people with a range of SEND

* Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individual Needs Plans

* Familiarity with EHCP processes, annual reviews, and SEND documentation

* Experience delivering targeted interventions (1:1 and small group)

* HLTA status, Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience
