Inventory & Supply Manager

Manchester

£50,000 - £55,000 + Benefits

Our client is a well established company operating within a highly regulated distribution environment and is looking to appoint an Inventory & Supply Manager to play a key role in optimising inventory performance and ensuring an efficient supply chain.

You'll be responsible for driving continuous improvement across inventory planning, stock optimisation and supplier performance. You'll work to improve product availability, enhance inventory accuracy, reduce working capital and improve data driven reporting and KPI's that support operational excellence.

The business operates a hybrid working model, with at least 3 days per week on site.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead inventory planning and stock optimisation activities to ensure product availability while minimising excess stock where possible.

* Analyse inventory and supply chain data to produce accurate reports.

* Work alongside the warehouse, sales and customer relations teams to ensure reliable end-to-end supply chain operations.

* Manage, coach and develop the inventory and procurement team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

* Monitor and improve key supply chain KPIs, including inventory accuracy, stock turns, forecast accuracy, service levels and supplier OTIF performance.

* Build upon existing relationships with suppliers, proactively managing OTIF, lead times and supply risks to ensure continuity of supply.

Key Skills & Experience

* Strong experience working within inventory, preferably across fast-paced, high-volume environments with large SKU counts.

* Inventory data processes and data implementation to improve supply chain efficiency.

* Strong background maintaining and developing supplier relationships.

* Proven management experience leading & developing a small team.

* Demonstrable record of improving KPI performance with specific reference to inventory-related metrics.
