Job Title: Junior Acoustic Consultant

Location: Norwich

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 + Benefits

An established and fast-growing acoustic consultancy is looking to appoint a Junior Acoustic Consultant to join its Norwich team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their acoustics career to gain hands-on experience within a supportive, reputable, and ambitious organisation.

In this role, you'll work on a wide range of projects across the East of England, carrying out noise surveys, acoustic assessments, data analysis, technical reporting, and regular client communication. The company provides structured development, strong progression pathways, and full sponsorship toward the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control.

Key Responsibilities

*

Undertake environmental noise surveys and building acoustics assessments

*

Produce technical reports and noise impact assessments

*

Support acoustic modelling and assist with data interpretation

*

Liaise with clients, planners, contractors, and local authorities

*

Work alongside senior consultants on larger or more complex projects

*

Contribute to bids, proposals, and general business development

Required Skills & Experience

*

Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field

*

2-5 years' experience in environmental and/or building acoustics

*

Strong communication skills and excellent technical writing ability

*

Understanding of BS4142, BS8233, and relevant planning guidance

*

Motivated to complete (or currently undertaking) the IOA Diploma

*

Full UK driving licence
