Job Title: Junior Acoustic Consultant

Location: Norwich

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 + Benefits

A growing, reputable acoustic consultancy is looking to welcome a Junior Acoustic Consultant to its Norwich team. This opportunity is perfect for someone in the early stages of their acoustics career who wants to build practical skills within a supportive, well-respected environment.

In this role, you'll work on a diverse range of projects across the East of England, carrying out noise monitoring, acoustic assessments, data analysis, report writing and regular client communication. The company provides structured development, clear progression routes, and full funding for the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control.

Key Responsibilities

*

Conduct environmental noise surveys and building acoustics assessments

*

Produce technical documentation such as noise impact assessments

*

Support acoustic modelling tasks and assist with data interpretation

*

Liaise with clients, planners, contractors and local authorities

*

Work closely with senior consultants on larger or more complex schemes

*

Assist with bids, proposals and wider business development activity

Skills & Experience

*

Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field

*

2-5 years' experience in environmental or building acoustics

*

Strong communication skills and excellent technical writing ability

*

Familiarity with BS4142, BS8233 and relevant planning guidance

*

Commitment to completing (or already working towards) the IOA Diploma

*

Full UK driving licence
