Graduate/ Junior Architectural Technologist

Location: Wakefield

Salary: £26-28,000 DOE

A respected architectural practice is looking to add Junior and Graduate Architectural Technologists to join its team. Specialising in care sector design- including care homes, supported living, and dementia-friendly environments- the practice is known for delivering thoughtful, high-quality solutions tailored to complex user needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on meaningful projects that positively impact people's lives. You'll gain hands-on experience across all project stages, develop your technical and design skills, and benefit from ongoing support and training. Applicants should be local to Wakefield or able to commute reliably.

Daily Duties:

* Assisting with the development of design and technical drawing packages

* Supporting planning and building regulations submissions

* Producing detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit

* Collaborating with consultants and other stakeholders

* Participating in site visits, surveys, and on-site coordination

* Gaining exposure to dementia-friendly and inclusive design practices

Ideal Candidate:

* Recently qualified or early-career Architectural Technologist (degree, HNC, or HND level)

* Competent in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit is highly desirable

* Interested in healthcare, inclusive, or care sector design

* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

* Detail-oriented and eager to learn

* Based in or able to commute to Wakefield
