Junior Geoenvironmental Engineer - Birmingham
Salary: £27,000 - £34,000
A specialist ground engineering and environmental consultancy is seeking a Junior Geoenvironmental Engineer to join its growing technical team based near Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of land development and ground risk projects.
The consultancy provides geotechnical and environmental expertise to support safe and sustainable land development, helping clients identify ground risks, assess contamination, and ensure sites are suitable for construction. Their work covers the full project lifecycle, from early-stage site assessments through to remediation and validation.
The successful Junior Geoenvironmental Engineer will support the delivery of site investigations and land quality assessments across a variety of development projects. Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with desk studies and site walkover surveys
*
Supporting ground investigations including sampling and logging
*
Assisting with land contamination and environmental risk assessments
*
Monitoring groundwater and environmental conditions
*
Supporting remediation and validation works on site
*
Preparing technical reports for clients and regulators
To be considered for this Junior Geoenvironmental Engineer position, candidates should have:
*
A degree in geology, environmental science, civil engineering, earth sciences, geoscience or similar
*
Experience as a Geoenvironmental or Geotechnical Engineer
* A full UK driving licence
*
Full right to work in the UK
*
The ability to travel to sites when required
*
Residence in or within commuting distance of Birmingham
