Academics is delighted to be working in partnership with a friendly, nurturing, and high-performing primary school. The school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Phase Leader to join their team from May 2026.

Role Details
Location: Haringey
Start Date: May 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage Key Stage 1, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across Year 1 and Year 2
* Support, coach, and develop teachers to improve classroom practice and outcomes
* Monitor pupil progress and attainment, implementing strategies to close gaps
* Ensure strong phonics teaching and early literacy development in line with national expectations
* Contribute to curriculum planning, development, and assessment across KS1
* Work closely with senior leadership to drive school improvement priorities
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-achieving learning environment
* Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have strong experience teaching within Key Stage 1
* Have experience leading a subject, year group, or phase (or be ready to step into leadership)
* Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Be passionate about early learning, phonics, and raising attainment
* Be committed to inclusion and ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential
