Learning Support Assistant - Primary Schools (Ellesmere Port)

Academics is working closely with a number of friendly, inclusive primary schools in Ellesmere Port who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their teams.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with children, offering encouragement, and helping pupils grow in confidence as well as academically.
What your day could look like:
* Supporting a child 1:1 or working with small groups who need extra guidance
* Helping pupils stay focused, calm, and motivated throughout the school day
* Adapting activities so every child can access learning at their own pace
* Working alongside teachers and SEN staff to support individual learning plans
* Being a positive, reassuring presence in the classroom and around school
This role could be right for you if you:
* Have experience working with children (schools, childcare, youth work, care, or similar)
* Are patient, empathetic, and able to stay calm in challenging situations
