Learning Support Assistant
Location: Aveley, Essex
Position: 2 x Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
Year Group: Year 1
Contract: Long-term
A leading education recruitment agency is currently looking for 2 experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a welcoming primary school in Aveley.
The successful candidates will work within a Year 1 classroom, supporting pupils with high levels of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech and language difficulties, while also providing general classroom support.
The Role
As an LSA, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
* Support children with ASD and speech and language difficulties.
* Help pupils access learning and participate positively in classroom activities.
* Provide general classroom support to the teacher and wider class.
* Assist with pupils' social, emotional and educational development.
* Help create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who are:
* Experienced in working with children in a primary school setting.
* Confident supporting pupils with SEND, including ASD.
* Experienced or confident supporting children with speech and language difficulties.
* Reliable, patient and nurturing.
* Able to build positive relationships with children.
* Confident working as part of a wider classroom team.
* Available for a long-term role.
