As a Manual Lathe Setter Operator , your responsibilities will include:
Setting and operating manual lathes to produce components to drawing tolerances
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and tool sheets
Selecting appropriate tooling and work-holding devices
Carrying out first-off inspections and completing quality documentation
Maintaining production targets while working to controlled standards
Following company procedures, Lean principles and SHEF requirements
As a Manual Lathe Setter Operator , your experience will include:
Proven experience setting and running manual lathes
A methodical and logical approach to machining and problem-solving
High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
The ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Apprenticeship trained background would be advantageous
