Manual Turner - Poole - Up to £35,000

You'll be trusted to set and run manual lathes to tight tolerances, with your accuracy relied on every single shift.

This is a business that runs a genuine continuous improvement programme, so your ideas on process count for something.

No two days are identical: different jobs, different challenges, and a team that shares knowledge rather than guarding it.

As a Manual Turner, you will benefit from:

190 hours holiday plus bank holidays on contracted days, paid separately

6% employer pension contribution

BUPA cash plan scheme after probation

Cycle to work scheme

Free on site parking

Company sick pay after probation

Four day working week, no contracted Fridays or weekends

Structured on-the-job training and skills development

A supportive team environment where best practice is shared, not siloed

Genuine input into process and quality improvements

Clear, consistent supervision from your Department Team Lead

Career progression as your skills develop

As a Manual Turner, your responsibilities will include:

Setting and operating manual lathes safely to manufacture components

Working from drawings, standard operating procedures and process control documents

Meeting production schedules and agreed timescales

Supporting continuous improvement of quality, products and procedures

Sharing experience, knowledge and best practice with colleagues

Raising tooling, resource or process issues to your team leader promptly

As a Manual Turner, your experience will include:

Experience setting manual lathe machines is an advantage but not essential

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential

An understanding of reading manufacturing drawings is an advantage but not essential

Basic computer and numerical literacy for data entry and technical drawings

Experience working to tight tolerances is desirable but not essential
