Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - Hoddesdon
Location: Hoddesdon
Salary: £95 - £115 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: September 2026
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3-5 in a secondary school setting. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of Mathematics lessons across KS3-KS5
* Provide 1:1 and small group intervention sessions to raise attainment
* Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and classroom resources
* Support students in developing confidence in numeracy and problem-solving
* Work closely with the Maths department to track student progress
Requirements
* A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
* Strong subject knowledge and numeracy skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive and positive approach to supporting learning
* School-based experience desirable but not essential
