M&E Shift Engineering Leader – Canary Wharf – £53,000

Location: Canary Wharf

Salary: £53,000 + Ample Overtime Opportunities

Hours: 12-hour shifts – 4 days on, 6 off, 4 nights on, 4 off, 3 nights on, 3 days on, 4 off

This is a rare opportunity to join a leading Facilities Management company as an Engineering Shift Leader, overseeing building maintenance within a critical environment in Canary Wharf.

PRS Recruitment are seeking an experienced M&E Engineering Supervisor to coordinate planned maintenance schedules, oversee building control systems, and lead a team of maintenance engineers responsible for landlord services in a large commercial property.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Proven experience in a critical environment, understanding the operational demands and standards required.

- Strong technical background in commercial building services with a track record of delivering high standards.

- Leadership experience with the ability to manage engineers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise a team of 2 engineers and oversee subcontractor activities.

- Organise and manage all planned and reactive maintenance.

- Lead a multi-skilled team (electrical and mechanical disciplines).

- Ensure health & safety compliance and accurate completion of all paperwork.

- Maintain plant room cleanliness and operational efficiency.

- Deliver reactive maintenance in line with contractual obligations.

- Oversee minor improvement projects.

- Attend client meetings and liaise with stakeholders.

- Manage external contractors.

Requirements:

- City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Electrical Installation (or recognised equivalent).

- Broad M&E knowledge within commercial buildings.

- HV certification (in date or recently expired – desirable but not essential).

- Experience in a supervisory role within a critical environment.

- 17th or 18th Edition IEE Registration (or equivalent).

- Approved apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Building Services.

- Health & Safety training.

- Willingness to learn and progress within the role.
