Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of bag-making machinery. This role is ideal for an engineer with 2 years industry experience who is comfortable working on the shop floor and keen to develop their skills. The role is site-based in Tipton and offers a temp-to-perm opportunity.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Operate, set up, and support the running of bag-making machines
* Carry out routine, preventative, and reactive mechanical maintenance
* Assist with fault-finding and breakdown repairs
* Support mechanical projects, machine upgrades, and installations
* Work closely with production teams to ensure efficient daily operations
* Adhere to health & safety procedures at all times
* Complete basic maintenance records and documentation
Essential Experience & Skills
* Minimum 2 years industry experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment
* Hands-on experience with machinery or production equipment
* Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components
* Willingness to operate machinery as well as maintain it
* Ability to follow mechanical drawings and instructions
* Practical problem-solving skills
Qualifications
HND or BA/BEng (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (preferred but not essential)
