Location: Newbury
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £90 - £105 per day

A welcoming and inclusive school is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The Mental Health Assistant will support pupils facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
In this Mental Health Assistant role, you will work with students who may experience anxiety, low mood, or behavioural difficulties. The Mental Health Assistant will provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils build emotional awareness and resilience.
As a Mental Health Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
* Assist students in developing emotional regulation strategies
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Build consistent and trusting relationships with pupils
* Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals
