A welcoming and specialist SEN school in Hermitage is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and social-emotional difficulties. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for those looking to gain practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, counselling, therapy, or education.

* Role: Mental Health Assistant
* Location: Hermitage
* Salary: £89-£100 per day
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
* Start Date: ASAP
* Ideal for: Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or Education Graduates
As a Mental Health Assistant, you will:
Work 1:1 and in small groups to help students regulate emotions, build confidence, and develop positive coping strategies. You will assist with behaviour management and support the creation of a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment, working closely with SEN Teachers and therapists.
This Mental Health Assistant role provides hands-on experience within a therapeutic setting and is a fantastic foundation for aspiring Mental Health Practitioners, Therapists, Psychologists, or Youth Workers.
