A nurturing and inclusive SEN school in Newbury is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role is perfect for graduates or aspiring professionals interested in mental health, psychology, counselling, or therapeutic education.
As a Mental Health Assistant, you will support pupils with anxiety, trauma, Autism, ADHD, and emotional regulation difficulties, helping them feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.
Key Details:
* Role: Mental Health Assistant
* Location: Newbury
* Salary: £89-£100 per day
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
* Start Date: ASAP
As a Mental Health Assistant, You Will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group emotional wellbeing support
* Help students develop coping strategies and resilience
* Support behaviour regulation in and out of the classroom
* Work collaboratively with therapists, SEN staff, and teachers
