Academics in Canterbury are currently working with a "Good" secondary school in Folkestone who are seeking a committed and dedicated Teacher of MFL (French. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, innovative and successful department teaching Modern Foreign Languages - French and Spanish - KS3 through to GCSE level and perhaps A-Level too.

Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective language lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum.
* Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity in language acquisition.
* Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
* Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
* Collaborate with colleagues within the MFL department to develop and enhance the curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and engaging for students.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress reports.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, achievement, and any concerns that may arise.
* Actively participate in departmental and staff meetings, as well as professional development opportunities, to continue to refine teaching practices and stay up-to-date with educational developments.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognized in the UK.
* Strong subject knowledge in at least one modern foreign language, with the ability to teach French and/or Spanish up to Key Stage 4.
* A genuine passion for foreign languages and the ability to inspire this passion in students.
* Experience in delivering high-quality language lessons, utilizing innovative teaching and learning strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
