Impact Recruitment are working with a leading automotive manufacturer based in Daventry, who are looking to appoint an experienced MIG Welder to join their skilled production team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a forward-thinking manufacturing environment, producing high-quality components to exacting specifications. The role involves MIG welding of stainless steel and other materials, preparing parts, and working closely with the quality team to ensure continuous improvement across the production process.

Location: Daventry | On-site

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Pay: £16.12 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

* Use MIG equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies to defined production schedules.

* Prepare and set up tools and equipment to support welding activity.

* Prepare parts for welding using machinery such as sizers and saws.

* Manufacture parts using jigs and fixtures, following works orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

* Work closely with the Quality department to ensure processes and products meet high standards.

* Record works order progress via shop floor data capture and ERP systems.

* Operate basic tube manipulation and fabrication equipment (training provided).

* Review finished assemblies and parts for accuracy, reporting issues to Quality Assurance.

* Support the development of new components as required.

* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in line with Health & Safety and environmental standards.

Requirements:

* Proven MIG welding experience

* Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment.

* Excellent attention to detail and strong quality awareness.

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Flexible and adaptable to support a variety of production tasks.

* Ability to commute to Daventry
