About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join a specialist setting in Hemel Hempstead that delivers high-quality therapeutic support to children with complex needs. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in enhancing pupils' engagement, independence, sensory regulation and functional skills in both classroom and therapeutic environments.

This part-time position offers flexibility alongside a rewarding chance for an Occupational Therapist to make a significant impact. There is also scope for the role to develop further within the setting for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

* Undertake occupational therapy assessments and interpret findings to inform intervention planning.

* Deliver targeted interventions that support sensory needs, motor skills, daily living and participation.

* Measure progress and outcomes to inform personalised programmes.

* Collaborate closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, families and external professionals.

* Provide clinical input into EHCP reviews and multi-disciplinary planning.

* Support staff development by sharing therapeutic strategies and knowledge.

Requirements

* Qualified and HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.

* Experience working with children and young people in specialist, educational or therapeutic settings.

* Excellent clinical reasoning and ability to tailor interventions in dynamic environments.

* Confident communicator with pupils, parents and professionals.

* Passion for enabling children with complex needs to flourish.
