We are seeking a caring and motivated Maths Tutor to deliver one-to-one off-site tuition for students aged 5-16, including learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and other additional learning needs.

This rewarding role involves working with students outside of a traditional classroom environment, helping them re-engage with Maths, build confidence, and make meaningful academic progress.

About the Role

*

Deliver tailored one-to-one Maths tuition aligned with individual learning plans

*

Adapt teaching approaches to support a wide range of abilities, learning styles, and additional needs

*

Plan engaging, accessible lessons that develop numeracy, problem-solving, and mathematical understanding

*

Track and record student progress and attendance accurately

*

Work collaboratively with schools, families, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective support

About You

*

Ideally a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent), though applicants with strong tutoring or mentoring experience are also encouraged to apply

*

Experience working with SEND or SEMH learners is highly desirable

*

Patient, empathetic, and flexible, with the ability to build positive and trusting relationships

*

Access to a car is advantageous unless you are already based locally

*

Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

If you are committed to making a meaningful difference in young people's lives and are passionate about inclusive, student-centred education, we would love to hear from you.
