Part-Time Finance Administrator

Northampton

Salary: £19,300 (pro rata)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week

Permanent contract

Looking for a part-time role where you can use your finance and administration experience for a great cause?

This is a chance to join our client, a charity organisation based in Northampton in a new role supporting their finance and fundraising teams. If you are process-driven, good with numbers, and have a knack for data management, this is the job for you.

You'll keep financial and supporter information moving smoothly, ensuring everything is logged, reconciled, and reported with precision. As the role develops you will take on more analytical work, spotting trends, building insights and helping the team make smarter, more informed decisions.

Key duties and responsibilities:

* Post daily income into CRM from various sources, platforms, and statements.

* Review income records to identify and correct data issues, specifically outstanding/cancelled payments.

* Daily bank reconciliations, processing of POs, and depositing of cheques.

* Prepare and post weekly payment runs, update grant management system and submit Gift Aid claims.

* Respond to ad hoc enquiries regarding income or payments.

* Monitoring and reporting of KPIs, producing dashboards and share insights.

Key skills and experience required:

* Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role.

* Background in charity/fundraising would be highly advantageous but not essential.

* Familiarity with accounting and internal CRM systems, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

* Able to meet tight deadlines and deliver results.

* Analytical with excellent attention to detail, and enthusiastic about data, numbers, and reporting.

* A strategic thinker who can contribute to the organisation's wider mission.

* Self-motivated and confident working independently on routine tasks while collaborating with internal teams.
