We're looking for a Part-Qualified Accountant who's ready to take ownership of key financial processes and strengthen reporting across the business. If that sounds like you, then we have the opportunity for you!
Role Profile
Our client is a growing privately-owned business, who have recently invested over £2 million into new production equipment and facilities to scale with growth. As a Part-Qualified Accountant, you will support the Finance Manager in taking ownership of core financial processes and delivering meaningful insight across the business. You will manage key month end activities, maintain financial records, develop management reports and contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles. The role is office based Monday - Thursday and remote on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports.
* Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciation.
* Ensure supplier invoices and payments are processed on time.
* Oversee the customer ledger ensuring payments are collected promptly.
* Reconcile ledger accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
* Bank reconciliation
* Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of yearly budgets and quarterly reports.
* Support the development of improved reporting tools and dashboards.
* Assist with annual audits and provide financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision making.
Key Skills & Experience
* Part-Qualified and studying towards CIMA, ACA, or ACCA.
* Proven experience in a finance role, preferably from an industry background.
* Strong grounding in double-entry accounting, month-end routines and financial controls.
* Experience preparing journals, reconciliation and management accounts.
* Advanced Excel abilities - conditional formulas, data analysis, lookups and pivot tables.
* Experience using ERP Systems, preferably Sage X3 or similar.
* Hands-on exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and balance sheet management.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate to colleagues at all levels.
