Job Title: Parts & Retail Manager

Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex,

Hours: 42.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm (must be flexible for weekend rota and overtime needed for peak periods).

About the Role

We are seeking a keen and driven Parts & Retail Manager to lead and manage my clients existing parts team. This is a key role within a professional team that thrives on collaboration and delivering the highest levels of support to both customers and colleagues.

Reporting to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the Parts Department, including the showroom and goods inward area, departmental profitability, and maintaining clear communication between customers and the parts team.

You will also support internal teams, such as Sales and Service, as well as key accounts, trade partners, and customers, ensuring a smooth and professional operation at all times.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department, including showroom, warehouse, and staff.

- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and customers.

- Oversee departmental profitability and work towards targets and objectives.

- Provide support to Sales, Service, and key accounts.

- Ensure accurate stock management, goods inward processing, and inventory control.

- Promote a professional and customer-focused environment within the department.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Knowledge of Agricultural, Construction, and Groundcare products and parts is advantageous.

- Previous management or supervisory experience is desirable.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage competing priorities.

- Highly organised, with the ability to multitask efficiently.

- Proactive and methodical approach to problem-solving.

- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently.

- Strong IT skills and attention to detail.
