Key Responsibilities Deliver accurate and technically strong payroll services across a portfolio of clients. Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, handling queries confidently, pragmatically, and calmly, including supporting prospect discussions. Support the supervision and mentoring of a Payroll Officer, ensuring accuracy and consistency of work. Manage relationships with colleagues who provide payroll administration support. Use automation tools, CRM workflows, and established processes to maximise efficiency and accuracy. Candidate Profile The successful Payroll Clerk will be: A strong payroll technician, ideally with experience gained in a bureau environment. Confident in communicating with clients, with a personable and pragmatic approach. Comfortable working with technology and automation, including payroll software, CRM systems, and workflow tools. Someone who enjoys being part of a multidisciplinary team and appreciates the variety of working across HR, payroll, pensions, and benefits. What’s on Offer £30,000 – £35,000 FTE. Preferred 4-day working week (Mon–Thu), though full-time will also be considered. Hybrid working arrangement, with an expectation of office presence a couple of times per week to support collaboration and learning.
