Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded property consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join their established team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering expert planning advice across a diverse portfolio of projects. The team works across a wide range of sectors including residential, rural, commercial, and mixed-use developments, offering the successful candidate exposure to high-quality and often high-profile schemes.
The Role
As a Town Planner, you will support the delivery of a variety of planning projects, working closely with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
You will be involved in all stages of the planning process, from initial site appraisals through to the preparation and submission of planning applications, while developing your expertise within a respected and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and supporting a range of planning applications and appeals
Undertaking site appraisals and feasibility assessments
Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation
Providing planning advice to clients across a variety of sectors
Liaising with Local Planning Authorities and key stakeholders
Supporting senior team members in project delivery
Attending site visits and client meetings where required
Candidate Requirements
RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority environment
Good understanding of UK planning policy and legislation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
A proactive and professional approach
