Planning Administrator - EV Infrastructure | London

Are you an organised and detail-oriented planning professional looking to play a key role in the future of sustainable transport? We are recruiting a Planning Administrator on behalf of a leading EV infrastructure provider, helping to drive the electrification of transport across the UK.

The Company:

Backed by a purpose-driven global investment organisation, this company is the UK's largest fully public owner-operator of rapid DC charging stations. Their mission is to provide best-in-class, high-powered EV charging infrastructure while delivering outstanding customer service and innovation.

The Role:

As a Planning Administrator, you will be a crucial part of the in-house Development Team, managing planning applications, appeals, and feasibility assessments to support the successful delivery of EV charging projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications, ensuring compliance with UK planning regulations

✅ Handle planning conditions, including discharge, variation, and removal

✅ Assist in preparing BNG exemption statements and planning-related reports such as design & access and heritage statements

✅ Liaise with local planning authorities and consultants to facilitate applications

✅ Monitor application progress, providing updates and resolving potential delays

✅ Conduct research into local development plans and policies to assess feasibility and risks

✅ Stay up to date with planning policies related to EV charging infrastructure and sustainable transport

What We're Looking For:

🔹 Experience in planning coordination, ideally within property or development

🔹 Knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures

🔹 Understanding of the General Permitted Development Order 2015 & Development Management Procedure Order 2015

🔹 Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

🔹 Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail

🔹 Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
